THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO 78) ORDER 2003

CHARING CROSS ROAD

1. Notice is hereby given that Westminster City Council made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No 1) Order 2002, so that the existing prohibition which applies on waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle will be changed so that it will apply: (a) between 1.00 pm and 12.00 midnight throughout the week in the length of street specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) between 7.00 am and 12.00 midnight throughout the week in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (c) “at any time” in the length of street specified in Schedule 3 to this notice. 3. The Order, which will come into force on 27 May 2003, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Parkman Ltd., Third Floor, Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB, until 2 July 2003. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 22 July 2003. Schedule 2 No Loading 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight throughout the week Charing Cross Road, the west side, between a point 50 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Shaftesbury Avenue and a point 60 metres south-east of that kerbline. Schedule 3 No Loading “at any time” Charing Cross Road, the west side, between the northern kerbline of Little Newport Street and a point 40 metres north of that kerbline. 22 May 2003.
