NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that D G Corney and Partners of 1 Herne Road, Ramsey St Marys, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE26 2SR, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Nene (Old Course) between National Grid Refs TL 271871 and TL 284873, at TL 248875, Ramsey parish, drains in the area of the Ramsey 4th (Middlemoor) Internal Drainage Board between TL 270893 and TL 268889, TL 248879 and Tl 251876, at TL 252875 Ramsey parish, drains in the area of the Ramsey 5th (Lodes End) IDB between TL 276875 and TL 278874, Ramsey parish, and drains in the area of the Ramsey Upwood and Great Raveley IDB between TL 276865 and TL 282869, TL 258167 and TL 247862, TL 241853 and Tl 243853, Ramsey parish, Cambridgeshire.
The proposal is to abstract water at 54 cubic metres per hour, 545 cubic metres per day and up to 18,000 cubic metres between April and September each year for spray irrigation purposes. The application is to renew licence serial No 6/33/53/S/528 which is due to expire on 30 September 2003 without any changes to the abstraction quantities or sites.
A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at 1 Herne Road, Ramsey St Marys, Huntingdon, between 10 May 2003 and 7 June 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
