ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A13 GLA ROAD (LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM, LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 200 

1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general nature and effect of the Order would be to impose a speed limit of:

(a) 30 miles per hour on the A13 Newham Way between East India Dock Road and a point 130 metres west of Forty Acre Lane, various slip roads and side roads that connect the A13 to the local road network, and the roundabout at A13 Ripple Road beneath the Lodge Avenue Flyover;
(b) 40 miles per hour on the A13 Newham Way, Alfred’s Way and Ripple Road from a point 130 metres west of Forty Acre Lane to a point 115 metres east of Renwick Road and the A406 roundabout at the A13/A406 Intersection;
(c) 50 miles per hour on the A13 Ripple Road and Thames Gateway from a point 115 metres east of Renwick Road to a point 350 metres east of Chequers Lane.

3. The roads affected by the Order are indicated in paragraph 2.
4. The roads affected are currently subject to a speed limit of 30mph, 40mph and 50mph but the Order will regularise speed limits along the route following completion of major junction improvement schemes on the A13.
5. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, and a map indicating the location and effect of the Order can be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours for 21 days following the date on which this notice is published at the offices of:

Transport for London, Street Management, Statutory Functions, Traffic Orders, 25 Eccleston Place, London SW1W 9NF; London Borough of Newham, Newham Town Hall, Barking Road, East Ham, London E6 2RP and London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Town Hall, Barking, Essex IG11 7LU.

Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent to Transport for London, Street Management, Windsor House, 42-50 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0TL, quoting Ref TASS/AD/SF-TO GLA/2003/288 to arrive before 28 May 2003. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
