NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that: 1. The Earl of Iddesleigh, Shillands House, Upton Pyne Hill, Exeter, Devon. 2. E J Rockett & Son, Linnington Farm, Wambrook, Chard, Somerset are applying to the Environment Agency for licences to abstract water from: (1) a borehole in the sandstone at National Grid Ref SX 909 994 (Stevenston Barton, Brampford Speke, Exeter); (2A) Greensand spring at National Grid Ref ST 283 072; (2B) a stream at National Grid Ref ST 290 072 (2 points). The proposals are to abstract water at the following rates: (1) 37 cubic metres per day, 6,406 cubic metres per year for agricultural and domestic use; (2A) 7 cubic metres per day, 2,555 cubic metres per year for agricultural and domestic use; (2B) 4 cubic metres per day, 1,460 cubic metres per year for domestic use. Copies of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the relevant site address above between 2 May 2003 and 2 June 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about any of the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Exminster House, Miller Way, Exminster, Devon before the end of the said period.
