NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that I Croft of the The Bungalow, Daintree Farm, Ramsey St Mary’s, Huntingdon, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the following points: 1. The River Nene (Old Course) at National Grid Ref TL 2382 8961. 2. A drain of the Ramsey 4th (Middlemoor) Internal Drainage Board at National Grid Ref TL 2399 9024. 3. Ditches tributary to a drain of the Ramsey 4th (Middlemoor) Internal Drainage Board between National Grid Ref TL 2444 8981, TL 2438 8996 and TL 2466 9016. 4. A ditch tributary to a drain of the Ramsey 4th (Middlemoor) Internal Drainage Board at National Grid Ref TL 2455 8930. 5. The River Nene (Old Course) at National Grid Ref TL 2450 8893; points 1-5 being at Daintree Farm, Ramsey St Mary’s. 6. A drain of the Ramsey 4th (Middlemoor) Internal Drainage Board between National Grid Refs TL 2507 8914 and TL 2522 8913 at Gore Common, Ramsey St Mary’s and 7. A ditch tributary to a drain of the Ramsey 4th (Middlemoor) Internal Drainage Board at National Grid Ref TL 2607 8942 at Herne Road, Ramsey St Mary’s. All points 1-7 are in Ramsey Parish, Huntingdonshire District, Cambridgeshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 54.5 cubic metres per hour, 545 cubic metres per day and 18,300 cubic metres per year—between 1 April and 30 September each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation. This application is for a replacement licence for Licence Serial Number 6/33/53/S/538 which expires 30 September 2003. A copy of the application and of any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Bungalow, Daintree Farm, Ramsey St Mary’s, Huntingdon, between 3 May and 3 June 2003.
