THE EALING (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO  ) ORDER 200

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing propose to make a Traffic Order under sections 32, 35 and 124 of, and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general effects of the Order will be:

(a) to introduce charging for vehicles at the Singapore Road multi-storey car park at 50p per hour or £3 all day, with payment made at a “pay and display” machine;
(b) to amend the charges at the Arden Road car park from an existing charge of 50p per hour to a new charge of 50p per hour for the first 3 hours then £1 per hour thereafter;
(c) to amend the charges at the Featherstone Terrace, Southall, George Street, Hanwell and Norwood Road surface car parks from an existing minimum charge of 30p per hour to a new minimum charge of 50p per hour or maximum charge of £2 all day;
(d) to designate the car parks at Dawley House, Perceval House and the rear of Nos 22-24 Uxbridge Road as off-street car parks for use by permit holders only and to provide that Council parking attendants be authorised to issue penalty charge notices to the owners of vehicles not displaying a valid permit in the aforesaid car parks; and
(e) notwithstanding the provisions specified in paragraph 2(d) above, to provide that the Perceval House car park may be open for public use and non-permit holders on Saturdays and Sundays at a cost of £2 per day and to introduce “pay and display” visitors’ parking in the forecourt of the car park situated at the rear of Nos 22-24 Uxbridge Road.

3. The Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Parkman Ltd, Third Floor, 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order.

5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Parkman Ltd, 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, quoting Ref 1000621/off street/sjc, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
