NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited of Henderson House, Lancaster Way, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE29 6XQ, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence 7/34/5/G/36 to abstract water from six boreholes in the Chalk at Grid Refs: TG 161 418 and TG 161 419 in the parish of Sheringham, TG 311 361 in the parish of Mundesley, TG 154 418 and TG 142 423 in the parish of Upper Sheringham, all being in the district of North Norfolk in the county of Norfolk. The variations being applied for are: 1. To renew the current licensed quantities of 4,740 cubic metres per day and 700,000 cubic metres per year from the three boreholes at Sheringham which will otherwise reduce to 2,146 cubic metres per day and 573,000 cubic metres per year on 1 April 2004. 2. To renew the use of the two boreholes at Upper Sheringham at the rate of 2,000 cubic metres per day each which will otherwise expire on 1 April 2004. 3. To renew the combined aggregate for the boreholes at Sheringham and Upper Sheringham of 6,000 cubic metres per day and 1,600,000 cubic metres per year which will otherwise expire on 1 April 2004. A copy of the applications and any maps and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the address given above and at Sheringham Water Treatment Works, Common Lane, Sheringham, Norfolk NR26 8PW, between 31 March and 2 May 2003.
