NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that RMG (A1) Construction JV of Grove House, Mansion Gate Drive, Leeds LS7 4DN, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Nidd at Walshford between the National Grid Refs (i) SE 4143 5280 and SE 4161 5260 in the parish of Kirk Deighton (ii) SE 4143 5283 and SE 4157 5284 in the Parish of Great Ribston with Walshford. Both Parishes are located on the Harrogate District of North Yorkshire.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates:
36 cubic metres per hour, 360 cubic metres per day, 81,000 cubic metres per year.
The water will be used for dust suppression purposes on the construction routs of the new A1 between Walshford and Wetherby and is required between 28 April 2003 and 25 October 2004.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Site Office, Wetherby Lane, Kirk Deighton, Wetherby LS22 4GA, between 2 April 2003 and 30 April 2003.
Any person who wishes to make a representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Dales Area, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
