NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that R & B Clarke, of White House, Froghall Farm, The Hollow, Ramsey, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE26 2YF, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Forty Foot River between National Grid Refs TL 352 880 and TL 356 881, Doddington parish, drains in the area of the Ramsey 1st (Hollow) Internal Drainage Board between TL 319 852 and TL 323 858, TL 326 853 and TL 327 852, TL 321 847 and TL 323 846, TL 306 845 and TL 312 844, at TL 326 864, at TL 314 849, Ramsey parish, drains in the areas of the Warboys, Somersham and Pidley IDB between TL 346 872 and TL 350 879, TL 351 870 and TL 355 877, TL 347 869 and TL 348 866, TL 323 833 and TL 323 832, TL 326 833 and TL 328 836, TL 330 832 and TL 333 832, TL 326 820 and TL 324 820, at TL 319 825, at TL 323 820, at TL 321 820, Warboys and Doddington parishes, Cambridgeshire.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 45.5 cubic metres per hour, 455 cubic metres per day and up to 9,100 cubic metres between April and September each year for spray irrigation purposes. The application is to renew the licence serial number 6/33/53/S/529 which is due to expire on 30 September 2003 without change to the abstraction quantities.
A copy of the application and any map, plan and other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at White House, Froghall Farm, The Hollow, Ramsey, between 28 March 2003 and 25 April 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
