STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY: LAND AT GANG, ST. IVE

Notice is hereby given that the Cornwall County Council, as highway authority, propose to apply to the Justices sitting in the Petty Sessional Division of East Cornwall at The Magistrates’ Court at The Courthouse, Culverland Road, Trevecca, Liskeard, at 2.15 pm on Monday 19 May 2003 for an Order under the provisions of section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping-up of a length of classified highway to the north of Overton House at Gang, St Ive, having a length of approximately 33.2 metres and a width varying from approximately 3.7 metres to approximately 5.2 metres, the County Council being of the opinion that the said length of highway land is unnecessary. A plan showing the effect of the proposed Order may be inspected, free of charge, at Room 107, County Legal Services, Western Group Centre, Radnor Road, Scorrier, Redruth TR16 5EH and at the offices of the Forward Planning & Countryside Services Department, Caradon District Council, Luxstowe House, Liskeard, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, and 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive (except Bank and Public Holidays). Further information may be obtained by telephoning 01872 222000, extension 4994. Any person who uses the highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order has a right to attend the court and be heard on the application, and anyone intending to do so should inform the undersigned at the Scorrier address above, indicating the nature of his representations.
