ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A10 TRUNK ROAD (TURNFORD, HERTFORDSHIRE)
(40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make
an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
on the A10 Trunk Road at Turnford in Hertfordshire.
The effect of the Order would be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the
A10 Trunk Road at Turnford between points 55 metres south of the centre point of the
A10/A1170 link road roundabout and 7 metres north of the centre point of the A1170/B156
roundabout.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and
a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may
be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Borough of Broxbourne,
Borough Offices, Bishop’s College, Churchgate, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire
EN8 9XE; Hertfordshire County Council, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford SG13 8EQ;
or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Operations Division, PPD Orders
Team, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, quoting Ref HA28/2/113.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency
at the above address stating the grounds of objection by a date not later than 3 April
2003, or within 3 weeks of this publication, whichever is the latest.
