APPLICATION FOR ORDERS AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS AT WELLOCK STREET, ST ANNE’S STREET AND PARTS OF ELVEY STREET AND WOODHOUSE STREET, NEWTON HEATH, MANCHESTER

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Manchester intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester, on Thursday 10 April 2003, at 2.00 pm, for Orders, under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of the highways specified hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan, showing the said highways, may be inspected, without payment, at my office, Room 601, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm from Mondays to Fridays. Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Orders may appear before the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting Ref L/RSA/EVD5001/413, before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear. Schedule Wellock Street, from Oldham Road for its entire length and its cul-de-sac end, comprising an approximate length of 109 metres and an approximate varying width of 10.5 to 11.5 metres. Elvey Street, from a point situated 56 metres north-east of the north-easterly highway boundary of Baltimore Street and its cul-de-sac end, comprising an approximate length of 16 metres and an approximate width of 12 metres. Woodhouse Street, commencing from its junction with Elvey Street in a north-westerly direction for an approximate length of 6 metres and a varying approximate width of 12 to 16 metres.
