NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Peter Theobald, of Whitehouse Farm, Main Road, Rettendon Common, Chelmsford, Essex CM3 8DL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from an un-named tributary of Rettendon Brook at Whitehouse Farm, at TQ 7756 9695, at Whitehouse Farm, Main Road, Rettendon, Chelmsford, Essex CM3 8DL. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: (1) 22,730 cubic metres between November and March in the first year for the initial fill of a fishing and conservation lake. (2) 3,364 cubic metres in subsequent years between November and March to maintain levels in the lake. The water will be used for maintaining levels within a fishing and conservation lake. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Post Office, 135 Nevendon Road, Wickford SS12 0NL, during the hours of 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm, between 3 January 2003 and 31 January 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about this application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, at Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
