ACQUISITION OF LAND ACT 1981
THE A419 TRUNK ROAD (CALCUTT ACCESS ROADS) SUPPLEMENTARY COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER NO 2 (OD NO 53) 2002
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the
powers under the above-mentioned Acts has prepared a Compulsory Purchase Order, entitled
as above, which he proposes to make, authorising him to purchase compulsorily the
land described in the Schedule to the Order and delineated and coloured pink on the
plan and the rights described in that Schedule and delineated and coloured blue on
the plan.
The land referred to in the above paragraph is authorised to be purchased compulsorily
for the following purposes:
(a) the improvement of the A419 trunk road in the county of Wiltshire;
(b) the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of
access to premises in the said county in pursuance of the Supplementary Side Roads
Order;
(c) the mitigation of adverse effects which the existence or use of certain highways
proposed to be constructed or improved will have on their surroundings; and
(d) use by the Secretary of State in connection with such construction and improvement
of highways and the execution of other works.
Copies of the Supplementary Compulsory Purchase Order No 2 and the plans referred
to therein have been deposited and may be seen at all reasonable hours from 9 December
2002 to 25 January 2003 together with the Supplementary Side Roads Order and its accompanying
plans at the offices of:

Any objection to the Supplementary Compulsory Purchase Order No 2 must be made in
writing and addressed to the Highways Agency, Operations Directorate, Temple Quay
House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6HA, not later than 25 January 2003,
and should state the grounds of objection and quote RefHA 065/009/000/88. In the preparation
of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection it should be borne in mind
that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other
people who may be affected by it.

to in the Compulsory Purchase Order by means of the number shown in brackets against
that item in this Schedule.
(b) References to ownership are references to ownership or reputed ownership at the
time of preparation of the Compulsory Purchase Order and are stated only for the purpose
of identification of the land.
