THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (BUS PRIORITY) (AMENDMENT NO 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2002
BUS PRIORITY MEASURES—RICHMOND ROAD
1. Notice is hereby given, that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames made the above Order on 28 October 2002 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 31 October 2002, will be to remove a section of the southbound bus lane on the east side of Richmond Road (outside Nos 72 to 90). 3. Please note that the “proposed” Order relating to this measure (notice of which was published on 2 August 2002) also included proposed bus priority measures in Cromwell Road and Penrhyn Road. The Council made the Kingston upon Thames (Bus Priority) (Amendment No 1) Order 2002 on 30 September 2002, giving effect to those measures as published. 4. The Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan showing the location and effect, are available for inspection until 9 December 2002, at: the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1EU, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston, during normal opening hours. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 9 December 2002.
