WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995), that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Yorkshire Water Services Ltd, Western House, Halifax Road, Bradford BD6 2LZ, for consent to discharge sewage effluents from Carthorpe Waste Water Treatment Works into the Healam Beck at National Grid Ref SE 3212 8361. The application is in respect of the upgrading of the existing works to meet new quality standards and includes an increase in dry weather flow (DWF) from 84 to 124 cubic metres per day. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, for the attention of Mr P A Stevenson, quoting Ref 27/23/0207, not later than Friday 27 September 2002. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the local Environment Agency office at the above address on weekdays between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm up to Friday 27 September 2002.
