1. Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be: (a) to amend the operation hours of a section of the free parking places in Glenlea Road, specified in Schedule 1 to this notice, to operate between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive; (b) to provide additional free parking places in Westmount Road, operative between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (c) to provide a further residents parking place in Southwood Road, specified in Schedule 3 to this notice; (d) to provide a disabled persons parking place, operative at any time on the length of The Vista specified in Schedule 4 to this notice; (e) to provide one bus stop clearway, operative at any time, on the length of Westmount Road specified in Schedule 5 to this notice. 3. Persons having a query concerning these schemes should contact Engineering Services on 020-8921 5580. 4. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Orders being amended and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders, together with the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected, during normal office hours, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at Greenwith Strategic Planning, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich, London SE18 6HQ. Copies of the proposed Orders and plans showing the locations can also be inspected at all local libraries. 5. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the Council’s Agents, TMO Services, 4 Snell Gardens, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 7SU, quoting Ref LBG/2128, by 28 August 2002. 6. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that, in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection. Schedule 1 Glenlea Road, the north-west side, from a point 13 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Westmount Road extending westward for a distance of 20 metres. Schedule 2 Westmount Road, the east side: (a) from a point 1.30 metres south of the common boundary of Nos 108 and 110 Westmount Road extending southward for a distance of 41.50 metres: (b) from a point 2 metres south of the common boundary of Nos 94 and 96 Westmount Road extending southward for a distance of 7.50 metres. Schedule 3 Southwood Road, the south-east side, from a point 3 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos 5 and 7 Southwood Road extending south-westward for a distance of 5 metres. Schedule 4 The Vista, the north-west side, from a point 7.50 metres south-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 258-260 and 254 and 256 The Vista extending south-westward for a distance of 6 metres. Schedule 5 Westmount Road, the south-west side, from a point 17 metres south of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos 94 and 96 Westmount Road extending south-eastward for a distance of 15 metres. 7 August 2002.
