WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991

Take notice that Hobson Farming Ltd of Naburn Hill Farm, Crockey Hill, York YO19 4SR, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the Sherwood Sandstone at National Grid Ref SE 6621 3564 at Whitemoor Farm, in the Parish of Cliffe, within the District of Selby, North Yorkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 60 cubic metres per hour, 1,200 cubic metres per day, 50,000 cubic metres between April and October each year. The water will be used for the spray irrigation of arable crops. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Whitemoor Farm, Cliffe Common, Selby, between 1 August and 6 September 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ before the end of the said period.
