NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that S & J Nicholas of 23 Campsey Road, Southery, Downham Market, Norfolk PE38 0NG, is applying to the Environment Agency Anglian Region for a licence to abstract water from Southery & District Internal Drainage Board Engine Drain, Larmans Drain and farm dykes at Sedge Fen and a point at Bakers Farm, Sedge Fen in the Parish of Southery in the District of West Norfolk in the County of Norfolk. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 52 cubic metres per hour, 1,248 cubic metres per day and 22,727 cubic metres per year between 1 April and 31 August each year. The water will be used for overhead spray irrigation of arable crops. The application is a renewal of Licence No 6/33/47/S/126 which expires on 31 August 2002, with no changes in area or quantities. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at 23 Campsey Road, Southery, Downham Market, Norfolk PE38 0NG, between Friday 26 July 2002 and Friday 23 August 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about this application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, between the end of the said period.
