SECTION 116, HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE STOPPING-UP OF PART OF OLD BREAD STREET, CITY CENTRE, BRISTOL

Take notice that Bristol City Council intend to apply to the Bristol Magistrates’ Court, under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, for the stopping-up of the highway described in the Schedule to this notice on the ground that it is unnecessary.
The application is to be heard on 16 August 2002 at or after 10.00 am in the Bristol Magistrates’ Court, Nelson Street, Bristol BS99 7BJ.
The effect of the Order sought will be to stop up the land as highway for the purpose of all traffic.
The highway in question is shown for the purpose of identification only edged and hatched black on the map which may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the offices of Bristol City Council, The Council House, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR and at Romney House, Romney Avenue, Lockleaze, Bristol BS99 3HB.

That part of Old Bread Street in the City Centre, Bristol, from a point approximately 25 metres west of its junction with the building line of Providence Place, westwards, for approximately 70 metres to and including its closed end.
