THE A523 TRUNK ROAD (PRESTBURY, CHESHIRE) (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2002

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A523 Trunk Road at Prestbury in the county of Cheshire. The effect of the Order, which comes into force on 20 June 2002, will be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the A523 Trunk Road (Macclesfield Relief Road) (De-Restriction) Order 1993. A copy of the Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals, a copy of the Order to be varied and a Statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected during opening hours at the offices of the Borough of Macclesfield, Town Hall, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 1DS; Poynton Library, Park Lane, Poynton, Cheshire or may be seen at or obtained by application to Karen Eustace, at the Highways Agency, Operations Division Secretariat, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL.
