HIGHWAY AT THE A5190 BURNTWOOD BYPASS PHASE 1, HIGHWAY (CUL-DE-SAC) OFF THE A5190 BURNTWOOD BYPASS PHASE 1, PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP15 (PART), PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP0333 (PART), AND PRIVATE MEANS OF ACCESS (PART) AT CHASEWATER INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, CHASETOWN, BURNTWOOD, LICHFIELD
The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, to authorise the stopping-up of areas of highway at the A5190 Burntwood Bypass Phase 1, highway (cul-de-sac) off the A5190 Burntwood Bypass Phase 1, a length of public footpath FP15, a length of public footpath FP0333, and a length of private means of access at Chasewater Industrial Estate, Chasetown, Burntwood, Lichfield. The proposed Order will require an improvement of areas of highway at the A5190 Burntwood Bypass Phase 1 and Phase 2, and the provision of new highways maintainable at the public expense for which Staffordshire County Council will be the local Highway Authority. The proposed Order will also require the provision of a new private means of access at the existing Industrial Estate, and that new private means of access shall not be maintainable at the public expense. The proposed Order will provide that the stopping-up must not be carried out until the developer has provided new highways and those highways shall be maintainable at the public expense for which Staffordshire County Council will be the local Highway Authority. The proposed Order will not be made unless planning permission for the development described in the Schedule to this notice is granted, and in the event the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission. Planning permission for that development was applied for by LCP Properties Ltd, on 6 October 2000, under Ref 99/01156/OUT, and the application stands referred to the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, in pursuance of a direction under section 77 of the above Act. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected, at all reasonable hours, during 28 days commencing 30 May 2002, at the offices of Lichfield District Council, Council Offices, Frog Lane, Lichfield WS13 6YZ, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for the West Midlands, quoting Ref WMT/5074/35/1/133, at the address stated below. Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order, within the period of 28 days commencing on 30 May 2002, by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, quoting the above reference, at the Government Office for the West Midlands, South Eastern Division, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT. In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.
