NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10, section 4 of the Water Resources
Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Taylor Business
Park Limited, Taylor Business Park, Warrington Road, Risley, Warrington, Cheshire
WA3 6BH, for consent to discharge sewage in an emergency from Taylor Business Park
Pumping Station, Warrington Road, Risley, Warrington, into a surface drain at SJ 6599
9451 and then to an unnamed tributary of Glaze Brook at National Grid Ref SJ 6641
9461.
The emergency discharge will be permitted only during periods when the pumping station
is inoperative due to electrical power failure, mechanical breakdown, etc. To minimise
the likelihood of a discharge being made the pumping station will be provided with
a telemetry alarm system, a stand-by pump, 14 cubic metres of storage, a stand-by
generator plug-in point and tanker access.
Any person wishing to make representations about the application should do so in
writing to Environment Agency, Planning and Customer Services, Appleton House, 430
Birchwood Boulevard, Warrington WA3 7WD, not later than 19 April 2002, quoting Ref
S/013/P/2002.
A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the above address
during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
