THE LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO 195) ORDER 2002

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of power conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, have made the following Orders: The London Borough of Merton (Controlled Zones) (Parking Places) (No 18) (Amendment No 1) Order 2002; The London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Amendment No 170) (Revocation) Order 2002; and The London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Amendment No 195) Order 2002. The Orders were made on 30 January 2002, and shall become operational on 4 February 2002. 2. The general effects of the Order will be: (a) to amend the number of parking bays situated in Rutlish Road, as detailed in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) to revoke the London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No 160) Order 1998, removing the motor cycle bay on Rutlish Road, Wimbledon, from a point 58 metres south-west of its junction with Charles Road south-westwards for a distance of 2.5 metres; and (c) to introduce a motor cycle bay at the location detailed in Schedule 2 to this notice. 3. Nothing in the Orders will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. A copy of the Orders, a plan identifying the area affected by the Orders can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the main reception, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of these Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for this purpose. Schedule 1 Permit Holder Bays Rutlish Road, east side, from a point 8 metres south of its junction with Charles Road southwards to the end of the cul-de-sac. Pay and Display Bays, Shared Use, Maaximum stay 10 hours, pay and display operating between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday, shared use between 8.30 am and 9.30 am and 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday, 20 pence per hour. Rutlish Road, west side, from a point 14.4 metres south of its junction with Kingston Road southwards to the end of the cul-de-sac. Rutlish Road, east side, from a point 8 metres north of its junction with Charles Road northwards for a distance of 47 metres. Schedule 2 Rutlish Road, east side from a point 13 metres south-east of its junction with Kingston Road, south-eastwards for a distance of 5 metres. 31 January 2002.
