PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Notice is hereby given that Singleton Birch Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the production of lime in kilns or furnaces with a production capacity of more than 50 tonnes per day. The installation is located at Melton Ross Quarries, Barnetby, North Lincolnshire DN38 6AE, in borough of North Lincolnshire, in the county of North Lincolnshire. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Melton Ross Limeworks is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Environment Agency Regional Office, Kingfisher House, Goldhay Way, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough PE2 5ZX; and North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, PO Box 42, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire DN15 6XQ. Members of the public can inspect these registers free of charge at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the cost of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environmental Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not so be placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
