THE TOWER HAMLETS (BUS STOP CLEARWAY) (NO 2) ORDER 2001

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 and 7(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 5, of the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Bus Stop Clearway Order will be to provide Bus Stop Clearway restrictions to prohibit the stopping at any time of any vehicle, except a bus providing a bus service, within the marked bus stop cages to be placed at new bus stops in the following lengths of Trinity Square; (i) Trinity Square, the east side of the easternmost carriageway between a point opposite a point 2 metres south of the north flank wall of No 43 Trinity Square and a point 13 metres south of that point; (ii) Trinity Square, the south side of the southernmost carriageway between a point opposite a point 9.5 metres east of the west flank wall of Trinity House and a point 15 metres east of that point. 3. A copy of the proposed Order can be inspected by appointment at the offices of Customer Services, Traffic and Transportation Section, Southern Grove Lodge, Southern Grove, London E3 4PN, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. 4. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the above address within the aforementioned period of 21 days.
