THE NEWHAM (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO 5) TRAFFIC ORDER 2001
WHYTEVILLE ROAD, STUDLEY ROAD, KITCHENER ROAD, GROSVENOR ROAD, CHESHUNT ROAD
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham on 9 July
2001 made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce one-way working for vehicular
traffic in the following streets:
(a) Whyteville Road—in a westerly direction;
(b) Studley Road—in an easterly direction;
(c) Kitchener Road—in a westerly direction;
(d) Grosvenor Road— in an easterly direction;
(e) Cheshunt Road (north to south arm)—in a northerly direction; and
(f) Cheshunt Road (east to west arm) —in a westerly direction.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 16 July 2001, and of documents
giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection during
normal office hours until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order comes into force
on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the offices of the Director of Environment, 25
Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 6EH. Copies of the Order may be obtained from this
address.
4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions
on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under
the Act has not yet been complied with, that person may, within six weeks of the date
on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
