A106 DETRUNKING—ENVIRONMENTAL AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS—ALEXANDRA ROAD, LONDON E.10, RUCKHOLT ROAD, LONDON E.10, OLIVER ROAD, LONDON E.10 AND YORK ROAD, LONDON E.10

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (hereinafter called “the Council”), propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Free Parking Places Order would be to further amend the Waltham Forest (Various Roads) (Free Parking Places) Order 1996, so as to provide free parking places in Alexandra Road, London E.10, Ruckholt Road, London E.10, and York Road, London E.10, at the locations described in Schedule 1 to this notice for use at any time and without time limit by passenger vehicles, goods carrying vehicles, motor cycles or invalid carriages or disabled person’s vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to further amend the Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that— (a) the hours during which the existing waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be changed so that they would apply— (i) between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., on Mondays to Saturdays, in the parts of Alexandra Road, London E.10, and Ruckholt Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 2 to this notice; and (ii) at any time in the part of the Ruckholt Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 3 to this notice; (b) the hours during which the existing waiting by vehicles including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be changed so that they would apply at any time in the parts of Ruckholt Road, London E.10, and York Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 4 to this notice; (c) certain existing restrictions on waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be revoked in the parts of Alexandra Road, London E.10, Ruckholt Road, London E.10 and York Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 5 to this Notice; (d) restrictions on waiting by vehicles for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be imposed during the times and in the parts of Ruckholt Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 6 to this Notice; (e) to take account of the limits of the speed table entry treatments in York Road, London E.10, certain existing restrictions on waiting by vehicles including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle would be revoked in the parts of that road as described in Schedule 7 to this notice. 4. The general effect of the Bus Stop Clearway Order would be to amend the Waltham Forest (Bus Stop Clearways) (No. ) Traffic Order 200 so as to: (a) designate a bus stop clearway in the part of Ruckholt Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 8 to this Notice where all vehicles except buses would be prohibited from stopping at all times; and (b) designate bus stand clearways in the parts of Alexandra Road, London E.10, and Ruckholt Road, London E.10, described in Schedule 9 to this notice where all vehicles except buses would be prohibited from stopping or standing at all times. 5. The general effect of the Prescribed Routes Order would be to: (a) impose one-way working for vehicles from north-west to south-east in York Road, London E.10, between Adelaide Road, London E.10, and Ruckholt Road, London E.10; (b) restore the left turn movement for vehicles from: (i) Ruckhold Road, London E.10 into High Road, Leyton, London E.10; (ii) Oliver Road, London E.10 into Ruckholt Road, London E.10. 6. A copy of each of the proposed Orders, of the above-mentioned Orders of 1977, 1996 and 200, (and of the Orders which have amended those Orders, where applicable), of the London Traffic (Prescribed Routes) (Leyton) Regulations 1963, and the Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (No. 7) Traffic Order 1969, (which are being amended to take account of the restoration of the traffic movements referred to in paragraph 5(b) above), of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected, during normal office hours, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at: (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London E.17; (b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford, London E.4; (c) The First Stop Offices, Leyton Municipal Offices, High Road, Leyton, London E.10. 7. Any person desiring to object to any of the proposed Orders or to make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof, or of their representation, to the Council’s agents in this matter, The Project Centre Ltd., 61-71 Collier Street, London N1 9BE, quoting Ref.
