NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd, Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of Total Fitness UK Ltd, c/o Kingsley Fereday Management Ltd., Wilmslow Way, Handforth, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 3PG, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the coal measures at National Grid Ref. SE 1788 1638 at Total Fitness UK, Fitness Centre, Wakefield Road, Waterloo, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 14 cubic metres per hour, 250 cubic metres per day, 70,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for domestic sanitary and associated uses at a fitness and rehabilitation centre. A copy of the application and of any map plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at Total Fitness UK Ltd, Wakefield Road, Waterloo, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, between 9th April 2001 and 9th May 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency North East Region, Ridings Area, Phoenix House, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period.
