NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that K. R. German & Son, of Rookery Farm, Fen Road, Pidley, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28 3DF, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a tributary drain of the Twelve Foot Drain between National Grid Ref. TL 3433 8022; TL 3388 8012 and TL 3400 8034 in the Warboys, Somersham and Pidley Internal Drainage District at Rookery Farm, Fen Road, Pidley, Huntingdonshire district, Cambridgeshire. The proposal is to abstract water between 1st November each year and 31st March the following year at rates not exceeding the following: 38 cubic metres per hour, 456 cubic metres per day and 27,276 cubic metres per year. The water is for winter storage and subsequent discharge to drains at National Grid Ref. TL 3400 8034 for spray irrigation purposes at Rookery Farm, Pidley and from the Twelve Foot Drain between National Grid Ref. TL 344 812 and TL 352 805 and the Queen’s Dyke between National Grid Ref. TL 352 799 and TL 352 798 at Rookery Farm between 1st April and 30th September each year. A copy of the application and any maps, plans or other documents may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Rookery Farm, Fen Road, Pidley, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28 3DF, between 21st March 2001 and 18th April 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period.
