ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
DENBIGHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ROADS FRONTING RAIL AND BUS STATION RHYL—PHASE 1) (ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) 2001
NOTICE OF PERMANENT PROHIBITION/RESTRICTION
On 27th February 2001, Denbighshire County Council made the above-named Order under
sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) and (3) and (2) of, and Part IV of Schedule 9
to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is as follows:
(1) to prohibit any vehicle (except buses and taxis) from entering the length of
road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;
(2) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the length of road specified in Schedule
2 to this notice in a direction other than that specified in the said Schedule 2;
(3) to prohibit the waiting, loading and unloading of vehicles in the lengths of
roads specified in Schedules 3 and 4 to this notice;
(4) to restrict the waiting of vehicles in the lengths of road specified in Schedules
5 and 6 to this notice.
Exceptions are provided in the Order, where appropriate, to permit waiting for the
purposes of alighting, boarding, loading, unloading and works of maintenance, repair
and the like.
Exceptions are also provided in the Order to allow vehicles displaying both a disabled
person’s badge and a disabled person’s parking disc to wait in the lengths of road
referred to in Schedule 4 for a period not exceeding 3 hours (not being a period separated
by an interval of less than 1 hour from a previous period of waiting by the same vehicle
on the same day).
Vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge are allowed to wait in the lengths
of road referred to in Schedule 5 for an unlimited period of time.
The Orders referred to in Schedule 6 are hereby amended as necessary.
A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 5th March 2001, and a map
showing the roads to which the Order relates may be examined at Rhyl Library and at
Russell House Churton Road, Rhyl, during normal office hours.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in
it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument
made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within
6 weeks from 27th February 2001, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Prohibition of Entry (except buses and taxis)
To prohibit any vehicle (except for buses and taxis) proceeding in Kinmel Street
from entering Station Road.

North-westerly side; from its junction with the north-easterly end of the un-named service road linking Bodfor Street and Station Road to its junction with the south-westerly end of the same road.
South-easterly side; from a point 59 metres south-east of the south-easterly kerb-line of Kinmel Street for a distance of 83 metres in a south-westerly direction.
North-westerly side; from its junction with Bodfor Street for a distance of 45 metres in a south-westerly direction.
South-westerly side; from the south-easterly kerb-line of West Kinmel Street for a distance of 62 metres in a south-easterly direction.

North-westerly side; from a point 52 metres south-east of a point opposite the north-westerly kerb-line of West Kinmel Street for a distance of 121 metres in a north-easterly direction.
Bodfor Street:
North-easterly side; from a point 15 metres south-east of the south-easterly kerb-line of Kinmel Street for a distance of 13 metres in a south-easterly direction.
Un-named service road linking Bodfor Street and Station Road; both side from its junction with Bodfor Street to its junction with Station Road.

Waiting Limited to 1 hour, no return within 1 hour
Station Road:
South-easterly side; from a point 62 metres south-east of the south-easterly kerb-line of West Kinmel Street for a distance of 115 metres in a north-easterly direction.
