NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Nacap Lawrence Ltd., Lawrence House, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, Somerset BA2 9ET, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from The River Usk and River Gavenny at National Grid Ref. River Usk Reach between SO 2421 1537 and SO 2423 1549 and at SO 2607 1531 and SO 2610 1531, near Gilwern and River Gavenny SO 3082 1846.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 360 cubic metres per hour, 4,720 cubic metres per day and 6,400 cubic metres per year.
The water will be used for Hydrostatic testing 6,000 cubic metres possible combination of points, all water returned to river horizontal directional drill 400 cubic metres (River Usk).
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at Nacap Lawrence, Ross Road, Abergavenny NP7 6SN, between 1st March 2001 and 28th March 2001.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Abacus House, St. Mellons Business Park, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0EY, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
