NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF REVISED PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
BOLTON’S UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council has revised the proposals for the replacement of the above plan. If, and when, this revised plan is adopted it will form the development plan for the area of Bolton Metropolitan Borough. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the revised proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, from 22nd January 2001, at the Environment Department, Planning Reception, 3rd Floor, Bolton Town Hall; at the Area Offices at Horwich Town Hall, Farnworth Town Hall, and Westhoughton Town hall, on Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.; at the Council Offices, Blackrod, on Mondays and Fridays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4.45 p.m., and at the Council Offices, Little Lever, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Objections to, and representations in respect of, the revised proposals should be made in writing on the appropriate form and sent to The Director of Environment, Environment Department, Town Hall, Bolton BL1 1RU, before 5th March 2001. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Objections may only be made in respect of those parts of the proposals which have been revised since the proposals were made available on 5th June 2000. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending on 5th March 2001 will have the right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing. Notice of Intention to Adopt Proposals If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council intend to adopt the proposals on expiry of that period. Representations should be received before 5th March 2001 and be addressed to Mr. R. Jefferson, Director of Environment, Bolton M.B.C., Town Hall, Bolton BL1 1RU.
