NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that CWS Agriculture Ltd, of Estate Office, Pasture Farm, Swinefleet, East Yorkshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from inland water, warping drain feeding the River Trent, between National Grid References SE 8000 01335 and SE 8045 1295 at Crowle Grange, Ealand, Scunthorpe. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 100 cubic metres per hour, 2,200 cubic metres per day, 15,240 cubic metres per year (between 1st April and 1st October each year). The water will be used for summer spray irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Estate Office, Pasture Farm, Swinefleet, East Yorkshire, between 12th January 2001, and 12th February 2001. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency Lower Trent Area, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
