THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TRENT AND MERSEY CANAL BRIDGE SCHEME 2001

The Staffordshire County Council, hereby give notice that they have made and submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions for confirmation, a Scheme under section 106(3) of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to construct as part of the new highway between the A51 Wolseley Road, Rugeley, and the roundabout junction of Lea Hall Link Road and Power Station Road, Rugeley, in the County of Stafford a bridge over the navigable waters of the Trent and Mersey canal. Copies of the Scheme and of the relevant plans and specifications may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 5th January 2001 to 19th February 2001, at the offices of the Cannock Chase District Council, Civic Centre, Beecroft Road, Cannock WS11 1BG, Lichfield District Council, Frog Lane, Lichfield WS13 6YU, Stafford Borough Council, Civic Offices, Riverside, Stafford ST16 3AQ and Cannock Chase District Council, Anson Street, Rugeley WS15 2BY, Staffordshire County Council, County Buildings, Martin Street, Stafford ST16 2LH, and at the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD. Any person may, not later than 19th February 2001, object to the confirmation of the Scheme by notice to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Local Authority Orders, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD, stating the grounds of objection.
