THE BARNET (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (1996, NO. 1) (AMENDMENT NO. 3) TRAFFIC ORDER 2000

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made, on 15th November 2000, an Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to introduce new no stopping controls outside certain schools in the borough in order to reduce congestion at times where there is movement of pupils emerging from School entrances and to allow pupils to have a clear view of the road. The Order also amends and revokes other no stopping controls outside certain schools. A copy of the proposed Order, which will come into operation on Monday, 20th November 2000, plans of the relevant schools and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order can be inspected, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (excluding Public Holidays) inclusive, until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published at: Traffic Section, Room 1006, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ and The Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4BG. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
