DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES—SCHEDULE 56
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Croydon propose to make the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. B44) Order 2000 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Order would be to: (a) revoke the disabled parking places located outside No. 101 Bensham Grove, Thornton Heath, outside No. 2 Bruce Road, South Norwood, outside No. 11 Dunkeld Road, South Norwood, outside No. 42 Grove Road, Thornton Heath, outside No. 19 Hillside Avenue, Purley, outside No. 78 Kimberley Road, Croydon, outside No. 38 Kings Road, South Norwood outside No. 272 King Henry’s Drive, New Addington, outside No. 91 Lansdowne Road, Purley, Latimer Road, adjacent to No. 29 Abbey Road, Beddington, outside No. 10 Limes Road, Croydon, outside No. 20 Maberley Road, Upper Norwood, outside No. 6 Mayfield Road, Thornton Heath, outside No. 42 Meadvale Road, Addiscombe, outside No. 50 Milne Park West, New Addington, outside No. 2 Percy Road, South Norwood, outside No. 94 Pollards Hill North, Norbury, outside No. 62 Pollards Hill South, Norbury, outside No. 96 Princess Road, Thornton Heath and outside No. 117 Waddon Road, Croydon. (b) designate new parking places in Ashley Road, Thornton Heath (outside No. 19), Avondale Road, South Croydon (outside No. 29), Bensham Manor Road, Thornton Heath (outside No. 20), Bishops Park Road, Norbury (outside No. 62), Bradley Road, Upper Norwood, (outside No. 20), Burdett Road, Selhurst (adjacent to No. 387 Sydenham Road), Danebury, Addington (outside No. 52), Farley Place, South Norwood (outside No. 2), Hartley Road, Selhurst, (outside No. 15), Hazelwood Grove, Sanderstead (outside No. 6), Kingswood Avenue, Thornton Heath (outside No. 5), Ladbrook Road, Thornton Heath (outside No. 37), Longhurst Road, Woodside (outside No. 9), Mitcham Road, Croydon (outside Nos. 328 and 330), Myrtle Road, West Wickham (outside No. 10), Pollards Hill North, Thornton Heath (opposite No. 94), Sanderstead Road, Sanderstead (outside No. 28), Union Road, West Croydon (outside No. 35), Vicarage Road, Croydon (opposite Nos. 38 and 40) and Westcombe Avenue, Croydon (outside No. 30); (c) provide that the parking places would operate “At Any Time”; (d) specify, in respect of the parking places, that disabled persons’ vehicles displaying in the relevant position a disabled persons’ badge issued by any local authority under the provisions of the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) Regulations 1975 or 1982, as amended, may be left therein; and (e) provide that certain vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g. to allow persons to board or alight (maximum 2 minutes), to load or unload (maximum 20 minutes), etc. A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make this Order and of the plans which indicate each length of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the last day of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at the enquiry Counter, “One-Stop” Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.
