The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order, under section 247 of the above Act, entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Wolverhampton) (No. 3) Order 2000”, authorising the stopping-up of an area of footway at Bridge Street, Bilston. The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Wolverhampton Metropolitan Borough Council on 14th October 1999, under Ref. C/0630/99. Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands, at the offices of the Director, Local Government Division, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting 5110/35/1/26) and may be inspected, at all reasonable hours, at the offices of Heantun Housing Association, 3 Wellington Road, Bilston WV14 6AA. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 23rd October 2000, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
