NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Raisby Quarries Ltd., of Coxhoe, Durham DH6 4BB, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Basal Permian Sands, at National Grid Reference NZ 346 353, Raisby Hill Quarry, in the Parish of Kellowe, Durham District, County Durham. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 91 cubic metres per hour, 910 cubic metres per day, 236,400 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for mineral washing and dust suppression. A copy of this application and any map plan and other documents submitted with it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at Raisby Quarries, Coxhoe, Durham between 29th September and 3rd November 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR, before end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
