NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Ashmarder Ltd, of Basing Park, Privett, Alton, Hampshire, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 10/41/531319, which authorises the abstraction of water from watercourses at Merston, Chichester, between National Grid References (a) SU 8884 0360, (b) SU 8951 0280 and (c) SU 8924 0189, at Merston, Chichester. The variation being applied for is to alter the period of abstraction to/or from 1st March to 31st October in each year and to increase the area of land covered by the licence. No charge is being made to the quantity of water to be abstracted. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Henry Adams & Partners, between 5th September and 5th October 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Guildbourne House, Worthing, West Sussex, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
