NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO MAKE A TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49, and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and of all other powers thereunto. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to consolidate the regulations contained within The Southwark (Parking Places) (Zone G) Bermondsey Area Traffic Order (No. 2) 1999 and The London Borough of Southwark (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Amendment No. 123) Traffic Order 1999 and amend the regulations contained within the Schedules attached to those Orders by the following additions: (a) Permit spaces in Abbey Street, Paradise Street, Southwark Park Road, Scott Lidgett Crescent and St. James’s Street; (b) Parking meter bays in Bevington Street, Drummond Road, George Row, Pottery Street, St. James’s Road, Storks Road, Thurland Road and Wolseley Street; (c) Doctor permit spaces and Ambulance bays in Drummond Road and Parkers Row; (d) Disabled Permit holders bays in Drummond Road, Jacob Street, Keeton’s Road, Paradise Street, Southwark Park Road, Storks Road and West Lane; (e) Short term waiting spaces in Bevington Street, Druid Street, and Storks Road; (f) Solo Motor Cycle bays in George Row, Mill Street, Paradise Street, and Wolseley Street; (g) Loading bays in Bermondsey Wall East, Druid Street, Paradise Street, Scott Lidgett Crescent and Storks Road. 3. Copies of the proposed Order, plans and a statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, during normal office hours for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, at Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES. 4. Further information and a copy of the proposed Order may be obtained from Raymond Johnston at the above address (telephone 0207 525 5473) within the 21 days. 5. Any person wishing to raise objections to the proposed Order should do so in writing to reach the undersigned at the above address to arrive no later than 12 noon on 22nd September 2000.
