NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995) that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Yorkshire Water Services Ltd, 2 The Embankment, Sovereign Street, Leeds LS1 4BD for consent to discharge sewage effluent under storm or emergency conditions from the sewage pumping station off Shay Lane, Walton, Wakefield WF2 6NB, into Drain Beck at National Grid Reference SE 3594 1763. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, for the attention of Pete Baker, not later than 6th October 2000. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the local Environmental Agency office at Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. up to 6th October 2000.
