NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Victoria Carpets Ltd., of Worcester Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10 1HL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Triassic sandstone strata at National Grid Reference S.O. 8296 7528, at Victoria Carpets Ltd., Worcestershire Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10 1HL.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 30 cubic metres per hour, 268 cubic metres per day, 68,190 cubic metres per year, between 1st January and 24th December each year. The water will be used for textile processing operations.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Victoria Carpets, Worcester Road between 22nd August 2000 and 22nd September 2000.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB, before the end of the said period.
