ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE BOROUGH OF TAMWORTH (GLASCOTE HEATH 20 MPH ZONE PHASE 2) ORDER 2000

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Tamworth, pursuant to arrangements made under section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with the County Council of Stafford in exercise of powers conferred on that County Council under section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, propose to make an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicles travelling at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in the roads detailed in the Schedule to this notice. A copy of the draft Order together with a plan showing the affected roads and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order may be examined at Marmion House, Lichfield Street, Tamworth, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for your objecton in writing to the undersigned by 28th August 2000. D.
