NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Elsham Golf Club, of Barton Road, Elsham, Brigg, North Lincolnshire
DN20 0LS, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from
Low Moor Drain (East) at National Grid Reference TA 0250 1080 at Elsham Golf Course,
Elsham, near Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 5.6 cubic metres per hour,
133 cubic metres per day, 20,000 cubic metres (per year)—(between 1st November and
31st March each year).
The water will be used to fill a sealed storage reservoir from which water will be
used in summer for irrigation of the golf course. Licence 4/29/8/S/0013 which currently
authorises the abstraction of water in the summer from the same source would be revoked
upon the granting of this licence.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Elsham Golf Club, between
1st August and 29th August 2000.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region Northern Area,Waterside House,
Waterside North, Lincoln LN2 5HA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name
of the applicant.
