House of Lords, London SW1A 0PW 17th July 2000 The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 17th July 2000, to appoint the Right Honourable Sir Richard Rashleigh Folliott Scott, Knight, Vice-Chancellor, to be a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary under the Appellate Jurisdiction Act 1876, as amended by subsequent enactments, and to grant to him the dignity of a Baron for life by the style of Baron Scot of Foscote, of Foscote in the County of Buckinghamshire.
