NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP THE HIGHWAY BETWEEN THE LAND FORMERLY KNOWN AS 10 AND 12 BENTINCK STREET IN ST. HELENS
Notice is hereby given that St. Helens Borough Council intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Corporation Street, St. Helens, on Tuesday, 8th August 2000, at 2.15 p.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that the highway mentioned in the Schedule hereto be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that it is unnecessary. A plan showing the highway proposed to be stopped up may be inspected, free of charge, at my office at the Town Hall, St. Helens, during normal office hours. Any person to whom this notice has been given or who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Order may attend and be heard on the application. V. Horton, Solicitor to the Council Schedule The highway between the land formerly known as 10 and 12 Bentinck Street, St. Helens, commencing at the rear boundary of the former 10 Bentinck Street, and extending in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 26 metres and being 14 metres wide. 5th July 2000.
