NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Peter Stevenson, of Wash Farm, Sible, Hedingham, Essex, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Swan Street Brook and the River Colne, at National Grid References TL 790 334 and TL 791 333, at Wash Farm, Queen Street, Sible, Hedingham. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 60 cubic metres per hour, 1,440 cubic metres per day and 12,000 cubic metres per year, between November and March each year. The water will be used for storage in reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation to agricultural crops. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Wash Farm, Queen Street, Sible, Hedingham, between 21st June and 21st July 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period.
