HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council, the Highway Authority for the City of Portsmouth, intends to make an application to the Magistrates’ Court for the said City at the Law Courts, Winston Churchill Avenue, Portsmouth, on 23rd June 2000, at 11 a.m., for the closure of various footpaths in Buckland in the said City, set out below. The location of the footpaths concerned are shown edged with thick black lines on Drawing Nos. 12/L/00, 13/L/00, 14/L/00 and 15/L/00, which may be inspected at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, during normal office hours. (1) Footpath between 4 and 5 Kilbride Path and 24 Malthouse Road (shown on Drawing No. 12/L/00). (2) Footpath between 8 and 9 Longs Walk (shown on Drawing No. 13/L/00). (3) Footpath between 27, 29 and 31 Nessus Street (shown on Drawing No. 14/L/00). (4) Footpath between 2 Hercules Street and 39 and 41 Nessus Street (shown on Drawing No. 15/L/00). The applications will be made on the ground that the footpaths are unnecessary. Notice is hereby given that any person to whom notice has been given or any person who uses the said highway or any other person who will be aggrieved by the making of the said Order, shall have the right to be heard at the hearing of the said applications.
