NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Nestle UK Ltd, of St. George’s House, Croydon CR9 1N9, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 3/28/29/43/G/R to abstract water from the Sherwood Sandstone at National Grid References SK 1747 4601, SK 1748 4602, SK 1739 4591, SK 1737 4591, SK 1728 4589 and SK 1702 4558 at the Ashbourne Creamery, Clifton Road, Ashbourne DE6 1DS. The variations being applied for are to abstract water from an additional borehole SK 1715 4582 under the current annual abstraction licence of 4,500 cubic metres per day and 1,197,200 cubic metres per year held by Nestle UK Ltd. Secondly to include additional land to reflect the new boundary of the premises. A copy of the application and of any maps, plans or other documents submitted with it, may be inspected, free of charge, at reasonable hours at Ashbourne Creamery, Clifton Road, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 1DS, between 29th May 2000 and 29th June 2000. Any person who wishes to make representation about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Sentinel House, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshre WS13 8RR, before the end of the said period.
